Small Bio
The southern rock hopper penguin can be found on the western Pacific and Indian oceans, and on the coasts of of western and southern South America. It is part of the animal ,or Animalia, kingdom where it is the E. chrysocome species in the spheniscidae family. This penguin is in the Aves class in the sphenisciformes with the Eudyptes genus and the chordata phylum. This joyful penguin builds its nest on cliffs and rocky guiles placed near fresh water where it can hunt fresh krill and squid. Its distinct characteristics are what make this animal able to survive in its habitat.
It is 18-23 in. tall and weighs around 4.5 -7.5 pounds, fast body for hunting krill, with red eyes and large yellow eye brows. They breed in the early spring and late summers laying two eggs but lose the first egg.
What If....?
What if humans were to pollute or disrupt the habitat, of the penguin.Keep in mind these are animals that can live up to 10 years and are smart creatures. If humans pollute on there habitat the animal will eat or,mistake the litter for krill or other foods and will cause them to get sick and possible death. There could be an oil spill and affect their food as is squids.Squids already have ink in them and with the oil who knows what it can do to the penguins. These animals can migrate north and be with the northern rock hopper penguins and mate with them making the population for the southern rock hopper penguins dwell in size . Shortening beaks, and changing the ratio to 1 out of 4 are the southern penguin.Or, if humans take their krill from the habitat they can survive by adapting another food source or by again migrating to a more krill filled place.

Then
The southern population would get smaller because of breeding with the northern penguins. Their beaks will shorten in size, as well as their eye brows and size. The southern rock hopper penguin is already classified as a decedent of the northern rock hopper penguin ergo the decedent from these two will be a northern or a southern rock hopper penguin. Their beaks will whiten in color and their brows will stop sticking out and stay close to their heads.
